Yet again Woolworths comes involve for yet another review. They had put 2 DVDs really cheap, unfortunately I was not there to get them, but my mom was so I had no option but to watch these 2 films. These 2 films were 50 First Dates and Maid in Manhattan. They were both only £5 each so it was definitely worth it, according to both my mom and Woolworths.
This film follows a girl called Lucy, who had a very fatal car accident, and she is diagnosed with amnesia, so every single day she thinks that it's the day of her accident. However, this person called Henry, is new in Hawaii and meets her one day, at a cafe. He doesn't know she has amnesia and all of a sudden the say they'll meet each other the next day, only she had totally forgotten about that arrangement. Then Henry has a really good idea, but will it work, or will it not work?
Drew Barrymore plays the amnesia girl, Lucy. Drew acted out her part really good, I would think that it's next to impossible to play that part! She played it well, and it shows how good of an actress she is. However I do not rank her as one of my many favourite actresses, I don't know why, but she isn't up there with my favourites. She can be seen in "Charlie's Angels" (Both Films), "He's Just Not That into You", "Music and Lyrics" & "Beverly Hills Chihuahua"
Adam Sandler plays Henry. Adam plays Henry really well, you just feel as if this is a story you are watching and it's quite surprising to think that these roles are only being acted out. Adam can be seen in films such as "The Longest Yard", "Click", "I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry", "You Don't Mess With The Zohan" & "Bedtime Stories".
There are many other actors and actresses who have pretty good acting careers, however some of them aren't very known or do not feature in this film much.
I enjoyed this film, I have to be totally honest, again, as I say most of the time, this is usually described as a chick flick, however I very much doubt it is! This film is really great, and you can't help laughing at some of the things. Though I can see how this could possibly be based on a true story, because it is definitely not impossible, and people do actually suffer with amnesia.
If you want to learn more about amnesia, I suggest you watch this film! I hope you have enjoyed reading my review, and compared to yesterday's review, this isn't really up to scratch but I can't help that, thank you all for reading!
