A collection of eight short films concerning the lives of women and children during wartime; exploring country life, evacuation, factory-working, school, and more.
Advantages: Inspiring, entertaining and thought provoking accounts of women in wartime Disadvantages: Only that there must be so many thousands of other stories which remain untold
able to enjoy a much more independent life than they would otherwise have had at that time.
The war changed women's roles, says Mavis Nicholson, yet after it was over the contribution of women was largely overlooked for many years. When the war ended women had to step aside to vacate jobs for men who were being demobbed. It was not always easy for either the men or the women to settle back into ordinary life. She notes that often children too found it hard to adjust to having their fathers back home. This struck a chord with me as I remember a relative of mine saying that until he was aged seven his father was virtually a stranger, being away fighting with the army, most lately with the Desert Rats. After the war the father was prone to depression, not helped by having to take a job working nights. All these years on, my relative ...
Advantages: fantastic actors, effects and storyline Disadvantages: none

Advantages: makes you tired Disadvantages: bad graphics, boring, slow, makes you want to smash it up
dragon wars is the worst film i have ever seen! its all about an old man who asks this boy to find a girl who is enchanted or something and has mystical powers, she is the girl who will bring a magical dragon from heaven to fight the evil dragon.at the end the girl dies but it is a very poor ending and the film tried to be a sob story, but frankly, its a load of cheap ,low budget rubbish.
there are some scenes that dont make sense, for example when the guy gets shot head on and he just gets up and walks away, and when the guy unleashed a power and it burned everything around him ,but his ropes were still tied up,then he runs to the girl.
it really is the most terrible movie ive ever seen, would never watch it again. ...
