Forty-year-old virgin
I am reviewing the 2005 DVD forty-Year-Old Virgin starring Steve Carell who plays Andy a 40 year old who works in an electronic store. He has a good job, a fun life style, nice house but he has yet to do one thing…. Have Sex.
When word gets out at Andy’s work, all the guys work together to try and get him a date, or even a one night stand … but no nothing works…until he meets Trish. Trish is the lady who works across the street in an ebay store, who happens to take a fancy to Andy one day when she was in the electronics store.
Dates begin, the two are mad about each other, and all his workmates are all happy for him until they find out a little arrangement between the 2.
The Front Cover
If you are looking for this movie in shops, look for a yellow and on the front cover a man sitting drinking coke in a bar and his 2 friends have girls on either side of him. The longer you wait the harder it gets – Text wrote in bright yellow on bottom of the cover.
My Opinion
I seen this film for the first time in the cinema in 2005, I thought it was really good, some very embarrassing moments throughout, which make you think – “oh my god he did what” “ how embarrassing” “ cringe” “Don’t do that” “ I can’t watch” Its got a really good storyline, and Steve Carell who plays the main character, he’s hilarious, he plays the part so well, as a man who never lost his virginity, very shy and innocent and cant talk to women. The clothes he wears suits the part to perfection and his attitude to things are just weird.
I think it’s a brilliant film; you have to see it, definatly, its fun for all the family over 15 as it’s a 15 rating. You Will laugh your head off , and go red at moments. The other characters – Andy’s work mates are funny aswell, one is depressed cause his x left him, others are having family problems and the other is game obsessed. You just have to see it. 5***** RATING FROM ME
