3 Non Blondes was screened on BBC3, a channel that isn't watched by that many people compared to many other TV Channels. However, when i watched one episode of this comical, reality show it caught my attention immediately.
The show features 3 big, black women let loose on the streets. The girls dress up and perform on camera with members of the public, who are unknowingly starring in a tv show. What makes this show so funny, apart from the great ... ...shame, is the public reaction to the women. The public's faces are a real treat, and even if you don't find all the sketches featured very funny the public reaction will make you laugh.
I loved sitting down, turning this show on and not knowing what was to happen. The three women are so spontaneous with what they do, their personalities are reflected through their public performances and it adds magic to the show.

...SUMMARY OF SHOW:
Smack the Pony is a comedy sketch show which started out starring 3 main female comedians (Doon Mackichan, Fiona Allen and Sally Phillips), later recruiting regulars such as Darren Boyd (the 'token' man, who stars alongside a cast of mainly women).
I have heard fans of the show describe Smack the Pony as 'chick comedy', which is true...a majority of the fans that I have met have been women. That is not to say that men hate it though!
I would say that the show's comedy is similar to that of Trigger Happy TV and 3NonBlondes. The women play many different roles, from Quaker's at a dating agency to heel-wearing athletes.
