A Western without John Wayne!

Advantages: good story, good acting
Disadvantages: None from me and hubby

agree with this. There are no extra features on the DVD which we have, this is not great loss to me as I am not into watching them anyway. We paid around the £5 mark for our DVD on EBay so do shop around for a good price. I am going to recommend this film as it does have a good story, great acting and it does not star John Wayne! ...

Review of Shane (DVD)

A John Wayne classic.

Advantages: It is a classic. Perfect Sunday afternoon film.
Disadvantages: Hard to believe that this was made nearly 50 years agao.

to such an extent that it is referenced in other more recent films such as True Romance, Pulp Fiction and Natural Born Killers, with actual clips from the film shown within Get Shorty, both versions of Assault on Precinct 13 and John Wayne's last film The Shootist as tribute to the actor who passed away shortly after filming had completed in June 1979. The picture quality on the DVD is excellent for a film that was made nearly 50 years ago, the picture is crisp and sharp throughout the playing of the film and is not let down by the quality of the print or the DVD transfer at all. I am unsure as to whether the DVD has been restored as it really does look that good. Mr Bean - The Animated Series - Vol. 1 DVD

Advantages: distracts the children
Disadvantages: not funny, humour very simple and mostly slapstick or toilet houmour.

', 'The Fly', 'Artful Bean', 'Mime Games' and 'Spring Clean' where Bean makes housework very hard work. Painful to sit through and I've not watched it since. The comedy is obviously aimed at little kids, most of it being stupidly simple, slapstick, or distasteful toilet humour. This wasn't the original Mr Bean's style and although having Teddy as a main charcter, it still doesn't appeal to me.
