Disney's Best Animation!
Review of Tarzan (Animated) (Wide Screen) by LilDread

Advantages: Disneys great expertise, Excellent soundtrack, fun jokes
Disadvantages: none!

...The latest blockbuster to come out of the Disney studios is , of course, Tarzan. Again, Disney have exceeded expectations with this film reputedly having a $150 million budget, and the results speak for themselves. The film is based on Edgar Rice Burroughs classic novel. It stars the voices of Glenn Close, Minnie Driver and Rosie O'Donnell. In my opinion, Tarzan is up there with the best of the Disney films, if not the best! As always, Disney have added a few subtle adult jokes. The whole film runs for 88 minutes, and in these minutes you will be enthralled in this spectacular production. It is a excellent film which all the family will enjoy!... Read review

King of the Jungle
Review of Tarzan (Animated) (Wide Screen) by scuzz

Advantages: good family viewing
Disadvantages: that bang bang scene!

...Disney did it again with movie. =The Story= The film starts with a husband and wife escaping from their burning, sinking ship along with their baby. At the same time, we see a family of gorillas. This cleverly shows the similarities between man and ape. Shipwrecked, the family set up house in the jungles of Africa. Sadly both the gorillas and the baby suffer a loss from the cheetah, Sabor. A depressed mother gorilla, Kala, hears the orphaned baby boy cry and runs to his rescue. From then on, it is down to the newly christened Tarzan to prove himself to the group leader, Kerchak. This proves to be easier said than done when Jane and her father arrive from England to study the animals... =The Characters= Tarzan (Tony Goldwin) Not one of Disney's most attractive heroes it must be said! After being orphaned... Read review

Me Tarzan You Jane
Review of Tarzan (Animated) (Collector's Edition) by belfin

Advantages: loads of great extras on this one
Disadvantages: none

...feature by Producer, Bonnie Arnold (who also produced on Toy Story) and Directors Kevin Lima (director of Goofy Movies & 102 Dalmatians )and Chris Buck (an animator on many Disney films in including The Fox and the Hound and The Little Mermaid). Children will love the read along story book on this disc which has 2 possibilities - you can read the story yourself or have it read to you. As well as this you can test your knowledge of the film with the Interactive Trivia Game where you have a choice of 3 answers and try to get the Tarzan roar to signal you have picked correctly. There is also a sneek peek at the Dinosaur Film - obviously this has been out quite a while now too but it is a lovely feature. This dvd is also interactive with your pc and you can play the demo version of the Tarzan game as well as using the links to find out more... Read review
