Advantages: Some Fancy cars Disadvantages: All been done before, poor direction, script and acting
...seemed almost inevitable that The Fast and The Furious franchise would make a third and hopefully final outing. The first film seemed to have something different, it was a decent concept, with a couple of decent actors and the whole concept worked. The second was no where near as good but at least held a throw back to the first film with the retention of one of the lead characters. From the moment I heard about Tokyo Drift I thought it would be a ... ...was no way a third Fast and The Furious film should ever have been made. Even the soundtrack, which I found to be a huge part of the previous films, seemed to pass me by without making any impact at all. The characterisation of the key members of the cast seems to be painfully lacking as well. Lucas Black seems to be the worst lead I could imagine. He doesn't seem to have any charisma and unlike Vin Diesel and Paul Walker just doesn't seem convincing ...

The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift
Overveiw.
Sean Boswell (Lucas Black) has an obsession with fast cars and racing, and as a result of totalling his car in an illegal street race; he has landed himself the chance of facing a jury or a jail sentence. The only way that he can escape this is by going to Japan and living with his military based father in a small, low rent part of Tokyo. At school, he meets Twinkie (Bow Wow), a ... ...or anything, I just like fast cars and illegal racing :P
The quality of the acting I thought was superb, especially Bow Wow playing the part of 'Twinkie', as he seemed to blend into the scene as if he actually was in downtown Tokyo, street racing in some bizarre 'Hulk' themed Volkswagen.
Lucas Black I thought played the part very well but in some places his acting left much to be desired, as he seemed to be acting as if somebody was holding the ...

Advantages: great soundtrack, realistic drifting scenes, beautiful girls, hot cars Disadvantages: simple story, no deep characters
This third installment of the Fast and the Furious (the original starred Vin Diesel, who makes a brief appearence in this movie)stars Sean Boswell as Lucas Black, who we find out is a part time mechanic and street racer in the US. In the intro to the movie we see Lucas take on Clay (Zachary Ty Bryan)in a red Chrsyler Viper over a challenge concerning a cheerleader Lucas sees in the parking lot. The race ends badly when Lucas smashes his car to pieces ... ...are a fan of the Fast and the Furious series or a fan of seriously modified fast cars or the underground drifting scene in Japan this movie is for you. Although the story is a bit reminiscend of the first F & F movie the interest lies in the tokyo underground drifting scene background, that was researched for this movie and gets portrayed pretty good. Also, and this shows something about japan itself, the director Justin Lin also concentrates on ...

Tokyo-Fast ,Not so Furious Review ofFast And The Furious: Tokyo Drift, The - Various Artistsby
free0bird
Advantages: Fast Cars, Classic Love, Great FX, Great Stunts Disadvantages: Acting is awkward in places, brief continuation of series characters
...the third instalment of The Fast and The Furious, or is it another film just borrowing on the success of the other two films.
Its a different style of racing, "drifting" its not about that 1/4 of a mile or km anymore its just about going fast and too the limit to beat each other around various raceways notably at the start a multi-storey carpark, to the mountains outside the city.
The Cars:
The cars range from modded VW's to Vipers, and Hyundai ... ...teh overall film concept of fast cars-fast women that teh two before have been based on with such success.
The bonus Features:
Now these on teh other hand is what shows teh creativity in the making of the film, with a history of "drift " racing, and also how to mod a car for this type of racing with some narrative and shown stunts of how to drive in that style.
Now these are what i would have liked to see and was glad they were included as bonus ...

Advantages: Cool Cars, An exciting film Disadvantages: Nothing like the first 2
...line
The sequel to Fast and Furious and 2 Fast 2 Furious, al these films are about illegal streetracing and the car scene.
The Fast And The Furious - Tokyo Drift is about a 17year old lad (Shaun) whos into cars, he gets into quite a lot of trouble everywhere he lives and him and his mother have to keep leaving town to stop Shaun from getting into more trouble.
He ends up in a race with a rich lad and his girlfriend and ends up back facing leaving ... ...deserves the name of The Fast And The Furious as unlike 2 Fast 2 Furious it does not carry along on the same story lines.
Still it is an exciting action packed film, with lots of cool modified fast cars made to be the best for drifing, it has a good story line which keeps you watching all the way through.
I would definately recommend it to anyone into fast and modified cars. ...

Manufacturer's product description
Fleeing troubles at home, a sensitive American rebel finds himself caught up in the exciting world of underground drift racing in Tokyo. The third in the wildly popular FAST IN THE FURIOUS series--a hybrid of fast cars, hot teens, and fetishized technology--gets a new jolt of energy and style courtesy of young hotshot director Justin Lin, who won raves at Sundance in 2002 for his look at Asian-American teens in BETTER LUCK TOMORROW. Leading man in training Lucas Black stars as sensitive rebel Sean Boswell, who, despite hailing from the poor section of town, vamps up his used car to drag race against the best of them. After numerous racing challenges won--including one against his high school's popular, wealthy quarterback--Boswell gets in trouble with the law one too many times. To escape confinement to a juvenile detention center, Boswell's military father ships him all the way across the world, to that most futuristic, tech-savvy of cities, Tokyo. There, he meets his match in the powerful, cruel D.K. (Brian Tee), who is not only the car racing star of the Japanese underground, but also related to several dangerous Yakuzas (gangsters). Complicating matters is Sean's undeniable (and mutual) attraction to D.K.'s gorgeous girlfriend Neela (Nathalie Kelly). The racing style, he soon learns, is very different in this strange land--a practice known as "drifting" that is more elegant and virtuostic than American-style demolition. Yet if anyone can take on D.K. and his band of Yakuza yeomen, it's this racecar rebel. All the pieces of the action movie puzzle, including sexy stars, nonstop action, and heart-stopping thrills, combine with a stylish aesthetic and energetic soundtrack to make another fine addition to a fantastic franchise and director Lin is adept at rendering Tokyo a full-dimensional, culturally rich location, rather than a video game backdrop.
