A Bucket of Blood is one of my favourite classics. An enjoyable 'Wax Museum' genre that takes a slightly different approach. This time, the artist is actually very slow witted and has no talent, as you will see. He works at a coffee shop full of poets and art buffs and wants so desperately to join their world. So, one thing leads to another, and, if your familiar with the genre, you know how it goes.
House on Haunted Hill is one of the great classics of all time. A brilliant classic, but is it horror or is it murder-mystery. To answer that question, i would have to spoil it. So, watch and find out for yourself, you won't be dissappointed.
Unfortunately, The Ghoul is probably one of Karloff's worst. Karloff is one of my favourites, but he doesn't really act in this one. The story is very slow, and doesn't build up to anything all that shocking. Just some ancient Egyptian Mummy curse, some rich guy trying to be immortal. Nothing I haven't seen 1000 times before, but then, this may have been one of the first. So, maybe my timing was just bad.
Still, this is three movies in one, and I definitely say it is worth renting or purchasing.
I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good? If you add to this, or if you change it to be posted as a "Film Only" review, which can be done by accessing "edit review" above the review and changing the drop down menu under the "Which format are you reviewing?" question at the bottom, please let me know and I'll re-rate.
