Advantages: Engaging Story Lines Disadvantages: Lack of special effects due to production period
...From the genre of horror, these 3classics can bring enjoyment to all those that appreciate horror of high quality. With the use of compelling storylines and gruesome images, the viewer is left always anxious at what would come next - that's how true horror began to develop. Through these elements, those who watch it forget the fanciful special effects that present day cinema offers and is taken in by this collection's creative brilliance.
All 3 movies in this collection engage the viewers irreversibly by their clever plot lines and cinematic professionalism. "Little Shop of Horrors" focusses more on the "horrible" part of horror movies, whereas "The Bat" proves as having more of a psychological effect on the viewers. "The Bride of the Monster" is for all those who are interested in the horror genre as a whole - one of the movies that...

Advantages: A Bucket of Blood and House on Haunted Hill Disadvantages: The Ghoul
...A Bucket of Blood is one of my favourite classics. An enjoyable 'Wax Museum' genre that takes a slightly different approach. This time, the artist is actually very slow witted and has no talent, as you will see. He works at a coffee shop full of poets and art buffs and wants so desperately to join their world. So, one thing leads to another, and, if your familiar with the genre, you know how it goes.
House on Haunted Hill is one of the great classics of all time. A brilliant classic, but is it horror or is it murder-mystery. To answer that question, i would have to spoil it. So, watch and find out for yourself, you won't be dissappointed.
Unfortunately, The Ghoul is probably one of Karloff's worst. Karloff is one of my favourites, but he doesn't really act in this one. The story is very slow, and doesn't build up to...

Advantages: Great eerie, creepy films, Good actors, Eerie music Disadvantages: No special effects, Simple storlines
...***HAMMER HOUSE OF HORROR***
I remember watching some of this series on the television when I was quite young and there was something eerie and creepy which made me enjoy watching this series every week. The series was shown on ITV, which ran for 13 weeks, each showing a different episode and story each week. Each programme was an hour long. Some of the actors who feature in these films are Peter Cushing, Denholm Eliot, Diana Dors, Brian Cox, Sian Philips and Pierce Brosnan.
Horror fans will enjoy this series which includes Werewolves, Demons, Witches and Voodoo Dolls. These alternative bedtime stories sparked millions on sleepless nights when they were originally screened and they still remain as scary as ever.
***THE BOX SET***
The Hammer House of Box Set is available from Amazon and HMV for about £11.99 which includes all 13...
