Hi, my name is Melissa. My favourite quote of the month is " Sometimes I lie awake at night, and I ask, "Where have I gone wrong?" Then a voice says to me, "This is going to take more than one night."

The Plot
The movie begins where Fast and Furious left off, disgraced cop Brian O'Conner is now on the run having let his suspect go. His is making his way across America to Miami, rocketing the streets once more with his trademark super charged car chases, making money has he goes.Having a close call of nearly getting caught he had to leave his car and hitches a ride to a car lot to buy a new one. He picks a Nissan Skyline and does it up, now running low on money he gets a call from a friend saying he got a race is he's interested. He goes there and he wins and he sees a woman who he has seen around before and talks to her, but before he can the cops are there and everyone flees. Brian escapes but as he is turning the corner a cop car is there with a man holding a device and shoots it a Brian's car, about tens seconds later Brian's car dies on him and he is arrested. Brian is given a deal by Agent Markham and Bilkins to go undercover and try to bring down drug lord Carter Verone down and exchange for his criminal record to be wiped clean. He only agrees if he can pick a partner of his own, ex-con pal Roman Pearce and they agree to it. Having found Roman they duke it out in a fight ( Roman spent 3 years in prison because of Brian wasn't there when he needed him ) Being under house arrest Roman can only go 100 yard from his house, so he lives in a trailer next door to the race circuit. Brain explains the plan and if he's agree the will also wipe his record clean and start fresh, he say yes. They meet at a warehouse with other agents and their new cars Brains being a Evo and Roman's a Mitsubishi Spider. Brain finds out the woman he see at the car race is in fact a undercover cop, and is Carter's girlfriend. They arrive at Carters house as well as six other people, after finding out he wants drivers to do a job. They have to go to the impound, get a package from the car and bring it back and the first
one who does gets the job. With the cars wired the cops know everything the do and go.
Will they get the job ? Bring murderous businessman Carter Verone down ? Get their records clean like the cops say they will ? Live to tell about it ? And will Agent Monica Fuentes live after being found out by Carter ?
So this is the much a waited sequel to the first one and in my opinion it could of been better. I mean the first one was original and you didn't know what to suspect, and with the fast cars, excellent street races and the grand final race was just pure brilliance. In any case was sequel people say they can't top the first one, but I can think of a couple of them. But sadly this one isn't one of them.
Don't get me wrong I liked this very much, but from the start it was predictable, especially where the first one ended with Brian letting Dom go. You knew he would lose his job and go on the run, living the life of a street racer and a very very good one at that. And of cause their was a woman he liked but she happens to be a undercover cop, so that will not last, just like the first time with Dom's sister.
The line up cast was pretty good I have to say, and some of them had chemistry like Paul Walker and Tyrese Gibson, but you could clearly see no chemistry between Paul Walker and Eva Mendes. Cole Hauser was excellent as the baddie, he just has a cool and smug look about him that pulls the role off beautifully.
Here's some of the actors movies they have done - Paul Walker ( She's All That, Timeline and Into the Blue ) Tyrese Gibson ( Flight of the Phoenix, Four Brothers and Annapolis ) Eva Mendes ( Urban Legends: Final Cut, Stuck On You and Hitch ) Cole Hauser ( Pitch Black, Paparazzi and The Cave ) Devon Aoki ( D.E.B.S, Sin City and soon out DOA: Dead or Alive ) and many more great actors.
The soundtrack was just average, ( the soundtrack to the first movie was excellent ) I don't know what happened to this one but it's not very good, but if you love rap music then this is for you. The soundtrack has 18 songs and some of the artists is Lil' Flip, Fat Joe, K'Jon, Tyrese himself "Pick up the Phone", with assists from Ludacris and R. Kelly, and many more. I liked about four songs from the album, Pick Up The Phone, Pump It Up, Hell Yeah and We Ridin' in my opinion the best ones from the soundtrack.
My favorite quotes are,
Tej - Whoa, fellas, fellas. I know my tags are outta date, but damn.
Roman Pearce - Don't even think about takin' the convertible. It might loosen your mousse. Brian - No, that's cool. That's too much chrome for me anyways.
Brian -You ready for this? Roman - Come on, man. Guns, murderers and crooked cops? I was made for this, bro.
The advantages was, the cast, cars ( Evo, convertibles, Mustangs, BMW, RX7, Supra, American muscle cars and many more ) location ( loads of women in bikinis for the guys ), the stunts was awesome and you get to see some cars crash and flip over. ( I liked when the Mustang tried to go between two lorries and the ping pong effect when it couldn't ) and the best stunt was when they jumped the broken bridge and landed the car on top of the boat brilliant. Best of all there's loads and loads of extras that will keep you entertained for a while. The DVD cover was also a plus with it's stylish and eye catching colours.
The disadvantages are the plot line ( to predicable ) the soundtrack isn't as good as I thought it would be as it's mostly rap.
So this movie is great with it's exploding street races, it's latest cars, awesome and realistic stunts and a great cast with loads of eye candy for everyone. All I will say is see it and make your own mind up. Just wanted to say I can't wait to see the third installment of The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift it looks wicked but the down side is that none of the actors either of the movies is in it, all new line up so that will be interesting to see.

I don't remember seeing this one. I have the first one on DVD somewhere and I thought that was one okay. I'm not in any rush to see this. Oh and have you seen Running Scared? Paul Walker is in that and it's great :)
