Fast looking cars!! I need to get me one of them! Hot hunnys! And Ludicrous, what is he doing in a movie? (for those who do not know who he is he is an American rap star).
Car racing? This is going to be fun, was my first thought. Paul Walker, I liked him in Roadkill. There is something about his style, he's a cool dude! Eva Mendes she looks hot! I am burning up here.
The title was not exaggerating! The first scene begins with an unbelievable car race and the stakes are high! One competitor has even put his rent on the race. Those cars are fast, nitro's, fire coming from the exhaust! The bridge has been raised; 160 mph did they make it? Bodies and front ends! The first scene set the mood for the whole movie.
I was sitting down watching and just enjoying the ride. All I was thinking is that if the film continues at this pace it is already better than the prequel, The fast and the furious.
Brian O'Connor is played by actor Paul Walker; he is the best driver on the illegal underground gambling circuit.
"Check out the rims on those cars enough to get the juices pumping!" O'Connor's love interest is played by the beautiful actor Eva Mendes, Monica Fluentes. O'Connor has only just met her and he has already attempted the drive and stare (you have to watch the film to find out what it is, sorry!)
What it's all about!!!!
O'Connor has been cautioned by the FBI and given 'the' ultimatum, help them with there case or go to prison. O'Connor requests help in the form of Roman Pierce, played by soul singer/actor Tyrese. It is their job to get incriminating evidence against a major drug dealer Carter Verone. The FBI has been tracking him and has been unable to gather incriminating evidence against him. O'Connor and Roman must infiltrate his organisation by posing as drivers for a major operation. The only problem is that the cars that the FBI has given the duo have been bugged and are cramping their style. In their minds they have to get some new cars if they are to complete their mission successfully. Yes, you guessed it there is a race for their cars, winner takes all!
The film is very well put together from start to finish there is never a dull moment. I think that in it self deserves some applause; the main focus in this film for me is clearly the cars and breaking the speed limit! For me my feeling is that this film is an unearthed gem. The expertise at which the director was able to put a story line within a film where the main focus is cars impressed me. I feel that the characters O'Connor and Roman played by Tyrese and Paul Walker are very well played. Walker as the voice of reason and Tyrese as the ex-convict with a distaste for authority especially cops. This feeling is made more than clear by Tyrese's character Roman constantly bickering.
Monica (Eva Mendes) is an undercover FBI agent that has already been working the case for a year as the drug dealer's girlfriend, but has she changed sides? Roman is suspicious and worried that his friend O'Connor's weakness for women is swaying his judgement.
This is a very cool movie with a great sound track consisting of a lot of beaty songs. I can not really find any faults in this movie. I sat down to watch a film that was 2 fast and 2 furious and that is what I got. The special effects were great! The background music was cool and up beat. The film offers the greatest adrenaline rush that you can get from a film of this type; In fact I do not know any film that comes close to this film, where total on going excitement is concerned. The director John Singleton is a class director and this is a classically directed film. This film is great for all ages above 15, because some seems require a slightly mature mind to be appreciated but, for an exciting experience I recommend this movie! A movie you will either love or hate!
