2 FAST 2 FURIOUS
The sequel to the racing smash THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS may not have Vin Diesel as its

star, but it burns with even higher octane than its predecessor, and a lot less extraneous drama. Back in action is undercover cop Brian O'Connor (Paul Walker) whose career has hit the skids since he let Diesel's character escape at the last film's end. He has sunk in status and is now a fringe dweller on the Miami street racing scene. A chance at redemption arrives when the fuzz recruits him to investigate Carter Vellone (Cole Hauser), a top-dog street racer with dangerous drug connections. O'Connor recruits his bickering childhood pal (model/singer Tyrese), now a nitro-burning ex-con from the Diesel school of toughness, to help him pull the bad guys to the curb with a tyre-spinning vengeance. John Singleton (BOYZ IN THE HOOD, HIGHER LEARNING) directed, and obviously had great fun delivering, a straight-up racing thriller that's free of the message-bearing pressure of being a John Singleton film. 2 FAST fairly roars off the screen with comic book exuberance and a cheerful disregard for anything that gets in the way of its forward momentum. Best of all is Tyrese, a natural, laid-back star he's not afraid to poke fun at his own shirtless model-boy image and amply compensates for the mighty Vin's absence. Rapper Ludacriss is also memorable as O'Connor's mechanic, as is model Devon Akoi as a cute female racer.n

…what? Or rather, why? Why did Vin Diesel not sign up for this? Because he read the script. Why is it populated with rap star cameos (Hi Ludacris!) and cheap jokes? Because the dollar is king in Hollywoodland, where even the most banal of movies are given a second chance. And rap music sells, so let’s get it in the movies! F**k integrity! Lets make some sweet green! Who are the actors? Who cares! ... ...Call Jessica Alba, because she was so great and emotive in “Dark f**king Angel”! Ahem.Welcome to my nightmare.
For all my sniffiness about movies, I do like the odd trip into Brainoffland. This requires a complete severance of the medulla oblongata tho’. The first “Fast” movie was brash and loud and something a little different (very nice car racing FX for example). The sequel operates on the same theory that made the Matrix sequels disappointing ...

...action hero for “2 Fast 2 Furious”, but even Van Diesel had the good sense to avoid this follow-up movie like an outbreak of the bubonic plague! Either that, or they didn’t offer him enough spondoolicks (money).
~ ~ The original The Fast and the Furious, while never in line to win any Oscars, was at least entertaining, and a success both at the box office and in the video shops. So I suppose that it was almost inevitable that the ... ...find it very hard to resist cashing in on the money gravy train. As you watch this movie, it quickly becomes very obvious that this film is more about milking the money out of the pockets of the cinema-going public than with making a credible follow-up to the original movie.

THE FAST AND FURIOUS STORYLINE
Brian O'Conner (Paul Walker) a recently retired cop is back on the streets hitting the pedal to the metal in his usually tuned up automobiles. The police catch him on one of the street races. They do him a deal; they will wipe his record clean if he does a job for the police undercover. Their job is to transport a shipment of dirty money for a shady import/export dealer Carter Verone (Cole Hauser) whilst working with a sexy undercover agent Monica Clemente (Eva Mendes). Oh its tough for film stars now a days! Brian O’Connor teams up with Roman pierce (Tyrese) ...

...doubts as to how good 2 Fast 2 Furious could be without Vin Diesel on board (Pause for a quick drool)! Could it match up to the original at all? The first film opened up a new world to us and has apparently increased the popularity of street racing in the US, which the police are not too happy about!
The film begins as they set up for a street race. The roads are blocked and the cars are all lined up. Unfortunately they are one car short, which ... ...letting Dom (Vin Diesel) walk in the last film, he has been thrown out of the police force in disgrace and is making a living on the street racing circuit in Miami.
After the race is over, he gets caught by the police and in exchange for clearing his rap sheet, he is to go undercover for the FBI. Carter Verone (Cole Hauser) is wanted by the FBI for money laundering and other unpleasant behaviour. O'Conner is to go for a job as a driver for Verone ...

...say on the tin. however 2 fast 2 furious is just plain annoying man, i mean you know what i'm saying bro? in this movie we join keanu reeves, er sorry i mean brian (paul walker) man as he mooches around miami taking part in street races that happen on those miami streets in the middle of the city where there's no police and not another soul around. man at least the first film acknowledged the way street racing looks out for the cops without taking ... ...is how the majority of 2 fast's dialogue is on screen and it get's very boring very quickly. it seems that this is the way of the street in this film even though it's the street according to Roman and Brian.
