A powerful virus is unleashed by animal rights activists, it is quickly transfused into the human blood stream The virus results in uncontrollable anger which permanantly tranforms its host into state of murderous rage and blood thirst. Within 28 days days the country is overwhelmed and only a handful of survivors are left to salvage what little remains.

Opinion:
I heard alot of hype surrounding this film. Friends who saw it really enjoyed it, saying it has twist and turns - the realistuc presention makes you feel like the events really happened. Coming from a celebrated director - Danny Boyle I expected a great film, I knew his style of directing from greats such as Trainspotting.
A review at the back of the DVD say's Stricking and Original and this is what I expected.
The original sequences quickly build up the film and you get sucked in. A sureal environment really makes you feel that events are happening. A feeling of the actors isolation and desperationg grabs you.
The action sequences are expected but when they do happen you are still scared, Panic and desperation of survivors is evident - they are going to infected and you know it!!!
As I was watching it I kept thinking, Imagine if you are being chased by hundereds of individuals each with more energy and strength than you have, they won't stop at anything to get you. There is no prejudice, discrimination or racism involved here ... just PURE anger, they want your blood.
Although the story has bits and bobs from many different films, such as outbreak and resident evil. It has much more to offer than all of them. Most of this is due to director Danny Boyles genius, his ability to create a real life atmosphere is unparalled.
I had to watch this film again just to realise again about what I was missing.
Put this one in your collection, at this price the hours of fun in this action packed DVD is worth it for sure.

Don't think I'd fancy this film, would find it a bit too creepy. I see you've mentioned the DVD extras but not if they were any good. Some people like to know if the DVD extras are worth watching and/or paying that bit extra for, e.g. you might watch the film in the cinema and really enjoy it, but if the extras on the DVD are really entertaining, people want to know it's worth them paying £15 or whatever the current price is :) Mil x
