...on the previous seasons of 24. Since i'm totally addicted to the series, i thought i would review them all! Mmmmm well that was a while ago now, and i still havn't got round to it!! Advantages: Compelling, thrilling, great cast, great acting, good storyline
Disadvantages: Ridiculously addictive - i'm not joking i've stayed up all hours watching.

...cast and their acting ability, 24 has never suffered. Indeed, it is the brilliance of the line up that manages to pull off the impossibilities of the plot convincingly and enjoyably. Advantages: Gets you hooked from the outset
Disadvantages: NONE

...prepared to suspend disbelief, then 24 is unlikely to disappoint you. And Series 5 is no exception. Jack Bauer has to return to CTU 18 months after having faked his own death, to get to the bottom of a major conspiracy and help those he loves. This series starts off with a BANG! I definitely did not expect the first episode to start off with such a cliffhanger and unexpected event. Sorry I can't be more specific, but I don't want to spoil the storyline ...
...gets you hooked instantly. It is definitely a series that shows you the more emotional side to Jack Bauer, and once again Chloe is a formidable character with her balance of outright rudeness and formidable loyalty to Jack Bauer. I'd say that the twists and turns in this series are better than ever, and the new president is definitely a great addition to the plot. Advantages: An exciting plot with lots of unexpected twists.
Disadvantages: The formula is similar to previous episodes of 24.

...time. However, I watched all 24 episodes one weekend. Every episode ended on a cliff-hanger, and I kept having to watch the next one! Many of the old characters are back, and a few of the people we know from previous series end up dead. The only drawback is that the formula is very similar to previous episodes of 24 - leaks within CTU, Jack disobaying orders and doing his own thing, but in this story it turns out the terrorist have been helped by ...
...you think a disaster is over, but a few minutes later, a bigger, worse situation is occuring. Until the very end, you're sat on the edge of your seat wondering whether Jack will be able to save the world (again) or, whether, this time, it's all going to go wrong and he won't be able to stop the terrorists. Disadvantages: Can get a little samey sometimes, Kim Bauer is very annoying!

...24 is a series which takes place over 24 hours and each episode covers one hour. There have been five seasons to date and it has been a very successful show both in America and worldwide. Jack Bauer is a federal agent who works for the Counter Terrorist Unit (CTU). He is willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. Each series of 24 covers a different threat faced by the USA. Jack Bauer and his Counter Terrorist Unit are asked to help handle the situation. Perhaps 24's greatest strength apart from Jack Bauer is its supporting cast. The CTU staff all have their own individual characters and quirks and the President of the USA is a very powerful and charasmatic figure. The villains are well drawn in shades of grey and are never charactures. It is a drama that takes itself seriously and doesn't dumb down to its audience.... Read review
