24 is an American TV series about a government special agent called Jack Bauer. He works for an organisation called CTU, Counter Terrorist Unit. This series is a real time show with each season lasting 24 episode of one hour. Each season therefore lasts 24 hours, hence the shows name.
The show has been running for six seasons now and each season has dealt with different terrorist incidents. The idea of a real time series is quite novel and it works very well. In 24 sacrifices sometimes have to be made for the greater good and a number of the characters are manipulative, especially politicians can be.
I like watching 24 and it has a shock value that will leave you hanging until the next episode. Even if you think you know what is going on, you will always be surprised by the twists and turns. Bauer is a determined character who will do anything for the security and safety of America. If you ever get interrogated by Jack Bauer, you should fear for your life.
24 is a fantastic series that always entertains and never disappoints the viewer. Keifer Sutherland plays Jack Bauer and is superb in the role. This is one of the best imports from America in the last ten years!

Good overview of the series, although I see you've posted this as a DVD review, but you've not mentioned the DVD features. Are there any extras? If so, what are they and are they any good?
