Recently I moved abroad and had no english speaking programmes on tv. So I decided to purchase season 1 of 24. I had started watching 24 from season 2. I really didnt get what all the hype surrounding 24 was about. I was wrong. In my opinion 24 is one of the best shows ever created.
In this Season of 24 you get 6 DVD's with 4 episodes per DVD. The show is done in real time but with "tv breaks" each show lasts about 40 minutes. In season 1 of 24 we are introduced to Jack Bauer (kiefer Sutherland) and his life as a father to 15 year old Kim and a husband to Teri. We also see him as head of CTU (counter terrorist unit) and the relationship he holds with his various colleagues.
Without giving too much away about the actual storyline, it takes place on the day of the presidential primary in Los Angeles where Senator David Palmer is running for presidential election. He is favourite to become the first coloured president of the US. At CTU we see how Jacks family become interlinked with his work and all the events that follow.
In this season of 24, there are plenty of twists and turns that keep you entertained. If you like thriller and excitement watch this season of 24!! I would highly recommend it to anyone out there!!
