...This tale of gambling and extortion is one of the highlights of 20thcentury moviemaking, Paul Newman and Robert Redford put in brilliant performances which more than equal Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid but the show is stole by Robert Shaw's powerful and very moody Irish-American gangster. The atmosphere of this film flows out of the screen ,especially during the poker scenes. The plot has just the right amount of twists and turns to keep you guessing what is going on until the end. With the added extra of great direction and camerawork this turns into something special. Just a marvellous piece of filmaking I recommend this film to anyone wanting to add a classic film to their library....
