competition finale returned to its rightful home at the impressive new Wembley Stadium. The top two teams in the country, Manchester United and Chelsea, battled it out for the prestigious honour to be the first team to walk the 107 steps to life The FA Cup.Chelsea were the last team to lift the trophy at the old Wembley, home to the famous Twin Towers and seemed to feel at home under the new iconic arch at the new stadium. Chelsea dominated the game defensively, not allowing the talented United attack of Rooney, Giggs and Ronaldo to impose their normal verve and fluency.Jose Mourinho's shrewd manoeuvring ensured that the Chelsea back four, led by John Terry, acted as a fortress against the advancing Manchester United, which allowed them the opportunity to counter attack and eventually grab a late extra time winner through the brilliance of Didier Drogba. The Ivory Coast international capped his golden boot winning season by netting the deciding goal after superb link up play with the tireless Frank Lampard. His goal ensured that Chelsea became the first team to lift the trophy at the new Wembley Stadium, and take the trophy back to Stamford Bridge.
Advantages: Didier Drogba's Goal, FA Cup Champions at the new Wembley Disadvantages: BORING GAME!

As a result, this was a very satisfying result even though I am sure that only Chelsea fans enjoyed the game because for a neutral, this game was probably the worst of the season, but in view, it was one of the best because Chelsea were the first team to win the FA Cup at the new Wembley.

There are two discs in this limited edition DVD and the first shows the blues road to wembley from the first against Maccelsfield Town, to the Semi-Final against a very strong Tottenham side who managed to be 3-1 up at half-time in the first of two games between the sides at Stamford Bridge. Again, as with the Carling Cup DVD, this DVD shows the whole match and includes that wonderful goal by Didier Drogba!
There are two discs in this limited edition DVD and the first shows the blues road to wembley from the first against Maccelsfield Town, to the Semi-Final against a very strong Tottenham side who managed to be 3-1 up at half-time in the first of two games between the sides at Stamford Bridge. It was Chelsea, who had to rely on a Salmon Kalou goal at the death. which earned the blues a 3-3 draw and a replay at White Hart Lane, ending in a 2-1 victory for the blues. Also, this disc shows the FA Cup Final in full. The second disc, features a review of the final.
To the neutal, the game was boring and probably rather fustrating with both sides not even breaking into an attack until the 30minute mark. This remained the same through out most of the game but the second half was better than the first. It began with a strong start from Chelsea, with Drogba hitting the post with a cheeky free kick. For the last 20 minutes, Man United came into the game creating a fair number of chances with Giggs and Rooney having decent chances to score but both failed to hit the target.
Almost inevitably, the game went to extra time withCech and Giggs involved with a bit of contreversy regarding the ball being over the line or not, replays showed it did, but the goal wasn't awarded. As a Chelsea Fan though, I believe Cech was fouled in the build which made him pull the ball over the line but you can have your own opinions with this DVD. In the end though, Drogba scored with a great one-two between himself and Lampard before cleaverly dinking over Van Der Sar. PARTY TIME!
Overall, I would only recommend this to a Chelsea Fan but it is probably not worth spening a whole day trying to get it because the game, in fairness, was rather dull. For around £15 I would spend my money on something else and I only got this DVD for my Birthday.
All the same, it was a memorable day for a Chelsea fan but for anyother fan or spectator of the game the game was a waste of time and I am sure most of you changed channel to Homes Under the Hammer or somethinf else more amusing!.
