...From a Die hard Sunderland fan undoubtedly the best day in Sunderland Association Football Club History, when they took on Leeds in the 1973 Fa Cup Final. After defeating Luton Town 2 - 0 in the quarter final and Arsenal 2 - 1 in the Semis, Sunderland's Cup Final Slot was secured. Leeds on the other hand defeated Derby County 1 - 0 in the Quarter Finals and beat Wolverhampton Wanderers 2 - 1 in the semis. On the 5th May 1973 the teams took the pitch in a hard fought encounter. Then in the 31st Minute up popped the late, great Ian Portefield to bag, what would turn out to be the winning goal in the Fa Cup Final, to bag it for the Black Cats. Advantages: Fantastic Game Of Football
Disadvantages: Well Can't Think Of Anything Unless Manchester United Lossing!

...Fantastic game of football and was finally won by Arsenal on penalties for the first time in Fa Cup history after the match ended 0-0 after extra time and a match that was totally dominated by Manchester United. Jens Lehmann the Arsenal & Germany goalkeeper was the hero after he saved Paul Scholes crucial pentaly. Manchester United were in total control of the match dominating most of the match but could'nt beat Jens Lehmann who was in fantastic form for Asenal he saved somehow from Paul Scholes and then pulled the double of him by saving his penalty. Van Nistelrooy, Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Roy Keane all scored from the spot kick but they could'nt stop any of Arsenal's penalties as Lauren, Ljungberg, Robin Van Persie and Ashley Cole all scored from the spot kick for Arsenal before Patrick Viera scored the deciding spot... Advantages: Football seen when you were allowed to tackle!
Disadvantages: That the Town didnt score more than one

...An absolute must have item for all Ipswich Town fans, even those of us who were lucky to be there anyway. This match shows a team that nobody really gave a chance to, came to the capital and ignoring all the big stars Arsenal had at the time, completely thrashed them 1-0. How it took so long for the goal to come will always be a mystery coupled with the good luck Arsenal had as Town hit the woodwork 3 times and the sheer goalkeeping brilliance of Pat Jennings in the Arsenal goal. A day when the country cousins came to London and played the start of the style of football that was to propel them to UEFA Cup glory just 3 years later and be voted Adidas European Team of the Year in 1981....
