Based on a manga by Shotaro Ishinomori (KIKAIDER, GILGAMESH) and produced by studios TBS (AH! MY GODDESS) and Aniplex (FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST), the sci-fi anime series 009-1 is a sexy foray into girls-with-guns espionage. Set during a futuristic Cold War, the stylish series follows the globetrotting adventures of secret agent Mylene Hoffman (aka 009-1), a female, cyborg super-spy with an arsenal of built-in gadgets such as ample breasts that double as guns. This volume continues the thrilling anime series with four more episodes.
Advantages: An excellent rip-roaring conclusion to an excellent first part, Tarantino at his best.Pure genius in celluloid. Disadvantages: A shame there is not a 3rd part to this movie.
...When Tarantino released Kill Bill Vol1, it was met with wide acclaim, some positive some not so positive, claiming he had just made a bloodfest and was into shocking people, true the original movie was graphic in parts but I believe it paved the way for Vol2.
In Vol1. we see that the charcter played by Uma Thurman has been wronged (to put it mildly) and is merely exacting her perceived revenge for the loss of her child and nearly her life but we know little of the depths of the charcaters.
In Vol2. we get more in depth information relating to the characters in the movie, and we get the cataclysmic ending that just the movie justice.
Vol1 was the jammy sponge for the film and Vol2 is most definitely the icing and decorations.
In both movies we have excellent acting, scripting and direction (as we have come to expect from...

Advantages: Clever and Action Packed! Disadvantages: Not for the faint of heart.
...My husband and I are regular film goers and we love Tarantino ... I love the way he is so distorted and gory!
Kill Boll Vol1 was incredibly easy to follow for Tarantino ... although the film does jump about a little the basic story line is very apparent.
The affects are amazing ... maybe to life like for the wear stomached amoungst us!
Its a big one up for girl power and Uma is simply beautiful and excellent throughout. I thought this would be a butch bloke film but I was wrong ... girls its amazing!
I am waiting for Vol2 with anticipation ... my husband and I left the cinema on the edge of our seats and ready for the next one.
I will definately be trying to get advanced screening tickets for Vol2.
Happy watching!...

Advantages: Not over complicated, easy to watch Disadvantages: Lacking in quality dialogue
...A truly fantastic film from the master of action films Quentin Tarantino. Kill Bill takes you on a bloodthirsty whirlwind trip that only leaves you wanting more. Kill Bill Vol.1 portrays an imersive world that draws you in without detracting from the real point of the film, the central plot flowing smoothly through the picture and the understated acting making the overall feel of the film as sharp as the swords. This picture will deliver everything the trailer promised us and will leave you hungering for Vol.2.
A must see for any Tarantino fan and a definate recomendation to any fan of action films, especilally those fond of Japanese style martial arts pictures.
In addition to all of this the animated segment of the film allowed Kill Bill to show a particularly disturbing scene in a way that, if not tasteful, must certainly be credited...
